Douglas County
Conciliation and Mediation Services provides services to parents who
are parties to dissolutions with children, paternity cases involving
custody and parenting schedules, and modifications to these cases
concerning custody and/or other parenting or access issues, and to
members legal community dealing with these cases. These services include
the "What About the Children" parent seminar, procedural
information, mediation of Parenting Plans, and resource information
regarding services in the community available to parents and children.
Parents who are
involved in these kinds of cases are subject to the procedures of
the District Court listed in Local Rule 4-3D and are required to attend
a session of "What About the Children," a seminar for parents,
and to participate in the formulation of a Parenting Plan for their
