OMAHA CHRISTIAN

STEPPING
STONES: a six-week recovery group for the divorced and widowed
offers emotional support, educational resources, and covers key issues
and phases experienced in the process of relationship loss. For registration/additional

PARENTS
WITHOUT PARTNERS: Chapter 86 of "PWP" is composed
for both custodial and non-custodial parents who participate in a wide
variety of programs and events, designed to encourage the single parent
family to fulfillment. Their activities include dances, discussion groups,
trips and social evenings in a group, such as dining out, theater evenings
and similar events. PWP publishes a monthly newsletter, which details
the activities, and events scheduled that month. For further information

CHILDREN'S
RIGHTS COUNCIL OF NEIA, INC. is a group of non-custodial parents
interested in co-parenting their children, and providing resources to
support children's rights to having two loving parents involved in their
lives. For information call 330-3353.
SINGLE DADS
is a group that enables single dads to discuss real issues and real
solutions/avenues to those issues from a male perspective. Meetings
are held monthly, for more information contact Bruce at 593-9390 or

WIDOWED
AND DIVORCED CATHOLICS OF OMAHA: Although membership is approximately
60% Catholic men and women, this organization is open to people of all
faiths. General meetings are held the second Tuesday evening of each
month at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium at New Cassel Retirement Center,
900 North 90th Street. In addition to monthly meetings the group offers
recreational, social and spiritual activities for adults and children.

FATHERS
FOR A LIFETIME is a program provided by Omaha Healthy Start,
2201 North 30th St. Omaha, and is an 8 week support and education program
to assist fathers in improving their parenting skills and provide information
regarding their rights and responsibilities to their children.
