PHASE
I
Phase I is the
stabilization phase. The length of the phase is between 60-180 days.
This phase is a 24/7 containment model. During this phase, the defendant
will immediately upon order to the YAC complete the following requirements
listed below:
- Be referred
to the Douglas County Department of Corrections for placement in
Community Corrections Programs. (i.e. Day Reporting, House Arrest,
or Work Release)
- The case management
team will decide when it is appropriate for the defendant to move
to phase two.
Prior to the release
from the Community Corrections Programs a case plan will be developed
by the YAC team to address the defendant’s remaining treatment
and transitional needs. If it is determined that the defendant is
in need of a Chemical Dependency Evaluation, such evaluation will
be completed by the Drug Court prior to transition to phase II.
